Sitges Surf Club

Sitges Surf Club is a surf school created by a group of friends and lovers of this sport that aims to bring surfing to the widest possible audience.

We are in Sitges , a beautiful coastal town in Barcelona where we have several spots perfect for practicing various water sports.

If you want to start surfing or improve your technique, do not hesitate to contact us. We also train our students in the practice of paddle surf , you just have to choose the courses and classes that suit you best.

The surf and paddle surf classes will be taught in the p laya of Aigüadolç , very close to our facilities where you can change after doing the activity. We have:

• Group classes : we offer classes to groups of no more than 15 students at all levels, from beginners to advanced. Each class will last 2 hours.

• Private classes adapted to your needs. It will be 2 hours in which the monitor will only focus on your training.

• Baptisms to start both surfing and paddle surfing. For an hour you will experience how you feel practicing one of these sports.

• Big SUP : a fun activity to enjoy with your friends. Gather a group of companions and try to keep your balance on a large paddle surf board while you advance as best you can. It is practically impossible not to fall into the water.

In addition, we can also provide surf and paddle surf equipment on a rental basis . All you need is to be a member of the Sitges Surf Club to which we will register you for free.

Stay tuned in the summer months, that's the time when we develop surf camps for younger surfers. A fun alternative to enjoy the school holidays!

The Sitges Surf Club offers you the possibility of practicing one of the most fashionable sports nowadays and that brings more benefits to those who practice it: paddle surfing . It consists of walking above the sea, that is, of paddling standing on a surfboard with the help of an oar. You can go on excursions or, on the contrary, surf and do speed tests. Are you up for it?

Its handling is very simple so it can be done by people of all ages , from the youngest to the oldest. It will be enough with a couple of sessions with our monitors to become a professional.

We have classes of 2 levels:

• Initiation : we will present you the material and you will know the main positions. You will learn the stroke technique, to stand upright and the basic stroke and turn.

• Advanced level : you will become an expert who will know how to row, turn on your knees and with advanced feet. You will practice the technical paddling and the stroke technique. We will also teach you the main safety and hygiene regulations.

Classes can be individual or group , whichever you feel most comfortable with. They usually last 2 hours .

If you prefer, you can rent the equipment to enjoy this sport at your own pace. You only need to become a member of the Sitges Surf Club, a free procedure.

We also do fun activities such as Big SUP, a form of this sport that consists of riding a group of several people on a huge surfboard and challenging them to navigate while trying to keep their balance. Laughter is guaranteed!

Sitges Surf Club is a surf school located in Sitges that was born from the idea and the illusion of training new surfers. Our continuous training program allows us to teach the practice of this sport and, at the same time, transmit values of respect for the environment and, above all, the sea.

Our surf courses consist of both a practical and a theoretical part. It is a training program that will allow us to advance by leaps and bounds in this sport. From the first day you will check your progress since our training sessions are governed by the rules and methods set by national and international federations and organizations.

The blocks in which we divide our program are the following:

• Initiation Block : we will teach you the main positions, the stroke technique and how to stand up. Safety and hygiene in surfing are other aspects that we will discuss.

• Advanced block : you will learn to choose a wave, go up and perform technical rowing. Danger zones and safety regulations are also included in this program.

• Basic maneuvering block : you will be able to increase your speed and improve your paddling and comeback.

At all levels we will include a theoretical part dedicated to the environment, meteorology and the history of surfing.

Classes can be individual or group , as you choose. Each of them is 2 hours long.

If you are undecided, try one of our surf baptisms and you will see how much fun this sport is. It sure creates addiction!

We also offer surf equipment for rent at a very affordable price but it is necessary to become a member to enjoy this opportunity.

At Sitges Surf Club o we organize every summer a fun and complete urban camp in which children 6 to 14 years old can practice various water sports and enjoy every minute of your vacation to the fullest.

The campus takes place in our facilities located on Aigüadolç beach , in Sitges, from the last week of June to the first of September . It is done in weekly shifts but there is no problem if you want to enroll your children in more than one week, whether consecutive or not.

The schedule will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Monday to Friday , although there is the possibility of extending the camp until 5 p.m., time that we will invest in didactic classes.

Classes will be taught by highly qualified instructors with great experience in each of the sports we offer. We will practice:

• Surf: we will teach you some basic notions about position, paddling and how to stand up.

• Paddle surfing : we will move through the water on a surfboard and we will have a great time with this sport currently on the rise.

• Skateboard : we will practice bowl , one of the most fun modalities of this sport. We will teach children the most sophisticated tricks to turn them into little less than professionals.

• Longboard & Cruiser: we will move around the city practicing this new sport. Of course, always safely and supervised by our monitors.

• Big Surf : we will climb up to 15 people on a huge surfboard with which we will have to move without falling into the water. Will we do it?

The price includes an equipment shirt for all students, the necessary material to practice the activity and the compulsory insurance.
