The Spanish Snowshoe Ski School operates in the Sierra Nevada ski resort, in the province of Granada. This activity is a way to do something different in the snow, far from the skiing and snowboarding that everyone practices.
Snowshoes emerged as a way to walk through the snow without sinking. They are special shoes that are placed on top of normal shoes and consist of a hoop with a type of net. In this way the support surface is round and much wider than normal, which allows the walker not to sink.
Now, the larger size of the rackets makes walking with them something different from walking normally. Therefore, it is advisable to take a short class with the teachers of the Spanish School. They will explain to you the best way to walk through the snow so as not to over-fatigue yourself and also avoid stiffness and the possibility of injury.
Enjoy beautiful routes through the Sierra Nevada mountains and relax with the silence and tranquility of the snowy landscape. It's a great way to exercise in winter and have a nice, relaxing time.
