Escuela de Surf Liencres

Very close to Santander is the Liencres Surf School where we have put aside the large tourist crowds of some points of the Cantabrian coast to make way for surf lovers with the best training that guarantees our experience .

Here the waves are constant so you can teach with our instructors with detailed knowledge of this space. All are certified by the official federations and are prepared to deal with emergency situations.

Spend your days in the surf house that we have installed in the center of Liencres where you have everything you need for a stay based on the sea and the waves. You can stay with us or visit during the day:

- Participate in surf and bodyboard courses : for a single day or for the entire week, with discounts if you enroll more than one student from the same family. There will be 120 minutes of lessons from the initial level or whatever you need.

- Follow a paddle surf program : totally practical since we do it with excursions through the Ría del Pas or while we go down the river until we reach the beach in half a day of intense activity.

- Rent the material : because you don't feel like it or you prefer not to carry yours or simply because you don't have it. Request our boards and wetsuits with a price reduction for more than one day.

At the Liencres Surf School we share with you the knowledge about this sport and its surroundings, which we have achieved after 15 years as instructors, from the Canallave beach.

We are fortunate to place ourselves in one of the best coastal areas of the northern peninsula to cope with the waves. With the part of the environment solved, we provide the classes, material and professional equipment that you need to learn the keys to surfing.

We will be 2 hours in each of the lessons hired with a minimum of 4 students and never more than 8 for each instructor. You will be selected by age and knowledge so that we can follow the same training point. They are available at 10 am in the morning, at 12 noon and in the afternoon at 4 pm.

In our courses and initiation classes you learn for example:

- Concepts related to safety when we enter the sea and also outside it. We will know how to access water in the right way.

- We will work the rowing and the way to place on the board properly. We will continue to overcome the wave and sit down to wait for the next one. Once this block is over, we will discover how the board is turned and the wave is caught. We will turn to somewhat more technical aspects until we finish the return to the arena.

At Liencres Surf School we go up the Ria del Pas, undoing the path of the water that reaches the beach while enjoying paddle surfing. These crossings take us away from the waves for a few hours and give us a different view of the Cantabrian landscapes in which the golden tone of the sand is replaced by the greenery of lush vegetation.

We will teach you how to move with a board and paddle while we follow any of these excursions but we also recommend them if you do not need the instructions of an instructor:

- Walk along the estuary : it will be 2 hours in which we will focus on the area of Oruña for which we will have all the material. It will be very easy for us to stay and advance in this great table because we will not be assaulted by the waves that surround us in the sea.

- Descent of the River Pas : we will depart from Oruña to finish just where the estuary flows, already on the beach of the school town. There you are expected in our vehicle to facilitate the return to the starting point after the 3 hours 30 minutes we will have taken to complete the adventure. At least 2 participants are requested to arrange this departure.

In the Liencres Surf School we give assistance to those who wish to spend their vacations between waves with us with a surf house to which you can come even with your pet. It is located within this Cantabrian town to give you access to its shops and services while also staying close to the beach we will go to every day.

In total we have space for about twenty visitors who can stay in rooms for two and three people, each with its own toilet. You can hire full or half board, according to your wishes.

Trying to give you closed options so you don't even have to think, we have devised packages for surf students and others for those who only need the school material:

- Week to start surfing : composed of 5 nights of accommodation plus 120 minutes of daily lessons with the material available for the rest of the day. It is also in weekend version with 2 nights in the hostel.

- Accommodation with equipment rental : with the same duration, one week and two days, but without the need to enroll in our surf lessons. The rented material will be within your reach from morning to sunset.
