If you like skiing but you get tired of the lines at the chairlift or the crowds of people on the slopes, you have to try cross-country skiing. In addition to being a healthier exercise, it is much less crowded than alpine skiing. In Pirinea Nordic you can practice this modality along 13 skiable kilometers that are divided into 4 circuits: 2 green, one green and one red.

Pirinea Nordic stands out for the beauty of its landscapes. This is undoubtedly due to its privileged location, in the middle of the Aragonese Pyrenees and surrounded by the valleys of Alto Aragón. Tours like Foyas will allow you, in addition to exercising, to marvel at the snowy landscape as you cross a populated beech forest or contemplate the panoramic view of the valleys.

The resort has all the necessary amenities so you can enjoy an excellent day practicing snow sports:

- You can rent all the equipment you need, both for cross-country skiing and for snowshoeing. No more having to load your skis in the trunk of your car and see if they fit or not. Rent your equipment on the slopes and forget about it.

- Courses: you can take courses in cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, mountain orienteering (specialized in mountains with snow), igloo construction, etc.

- Bar-cafeteria-refuge: the refuge, with a capacity for 80 people, is the perfect place to stop along the way and recharge your batteries with a hot drink.

Pirinea Nordic Snowshoes gives you the opportunity to take tours through the incredible snowy landscapes of the Canfrac ski resort (Huesca), in the Aragonese Pyrenees. Snowshoes are footwear that attaches to boots and allow walkers to walk on the snow without sinking and, consequently, becoming much less tired. It is the perfect way to get physical exercise in the snow and enjoy the outdoors in winter. Furthermore, the route can be adapted to be more or less hard, so that practically everyone can put on snowshoes and take a walk through the snow.

At the Linza station the routes cross the populated Beech forest which is part of the slopes and which, covered in snow, is a truly picturesque landscape. In order to do the routes, groups of at least 4 people are required. The duration of the walk can be two or 4 hours.

The technical material is delivered by Pirinea Nordic. This consists mainly of rackets and canes to help you walk. Participants are recommended to bring the three G's required by any snow sport: gloves, hat and goggles (in addition, of course, to warm clothing).

The Canfrac cross-country ski resort is one of the 6 stations that make up the Nordic 6 group. Pirinea Nordic Ski Resorts is located specifically in the town of Anso, province of Huesca, in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees. To go by car from the city of Huesca the journey takes approximately an hour and a half. It is located at an altitude of between 1540 and 1699 meters high, so in the snow season the slopes are always in good condition.

The total number of skiable kilometers in Canfrac is 13, divided into 4 different circuits. The circuits are of all levels, so that both beginners and experts can practice cross-country skiing: 2 green circuits, 1 blue circuit and 1 red circuit. In addition to cross-country skiing, you can also do snowshoe routes and even ski-bus rides.

The station has cross-country skiing, orienteering and igloo building courses. It also has a shelter with capacity for 80 people that serves as a base and meeting point to carry out all the activities, in addition to also being a bar-cafe where you can recharge your batteries.

Hiking trails are one of the best activities you can do throughout the year. Although the ideal time is spring or summer, in the rest of the seasons you can also enjoy excursions that will take you walking through the mountains.

For you to choose properly, we want to propose half-day or full-day itineraries:

• Half-day: These are 4-hour routes that take place in summer and winter. We will go to the Ibón de Escalar or the Estanes on very simple routes of about 7 or 8 kilometers. We also went to Chemin de la Mature and started a journey to Col d’Arras.
  
• Full day: the paths that we will travel are somewhat more complex and you will have to go through slopes of between 800 and 1000 meters s. They are routes that have more than 10 kilometers of route and in which you will have to have enough resistance. The chosen places are the Ibón de Samán going up from the Valle de Izas and the Ibón de Ip that will take us through impressive landscapes. Other slightly longer itineraries are those that pass through the Roya canal until reaching Ibones de Anayet or the path that goes from Espeliguère to Ibón de Arlet.

There is no more fun activity than canyoning. It is one of the sports that most like and it is not surprising because when you go through a canyon you discover the most intense and exciting sensations that you can find.

We are very lucky to be in the Ansó region since there are many ravines that you can pass through. There are two types of ravines in this area. The simplest would be the one in which the water does not appear throughout the entire route. These dry canyons are designed for a more technical but equally addictive descent and you are sure to enjoy it.

Although the most special canyoning is the one that takes place between pools and waterfalls since being an aquatic route you will have much more fun jumping and refreshing yourself. If you come with your friends in a group, you are sure to have a great day and you will be able to spend a very exciting day while passing through the ravine.

We have three levels of ravines :

• Level I. This is the perfect type of canyon so that you can come as a family to practice it, since it can be covered by children from 8 years old . It lasts from one hour and a half to two hours. They are not very deep ravines but the landscapes that you will find here are very beautiful.

• Level II. Aimed at all kinds of people, especially those who want to start in this sport.

• Level III. Intended for people who already have experience in this sport and, at least, have done a level 2 canyoning with us (so we can make sure of the level you have).

We offer a a la carte canyoning service , where apart from the canyons that we have, you can also suggest areas in which to do this activity. We will be delighted to move to three areas : Pamplona, Pyrenees and Sierra de Guara, in the pre-Pyrenean area.

We always have different alternatives , as we believe that it makes no sense to repeat the descent of the same ravine.

The shortest activity we organize has an approximate duration of 2 hours and you only have to be 2 people for us to prepare it. If you are both sports lovers and want to spend more time on skis, we recommend you come for a full day with about 8 hours of activities.

Bring your own equipment or we will give you the option to rent it to yourself. We will offer you the best materials and we will try to plan everything so that everything is to your liking when you come to practice cross-country skiing.

In the surroundings of Ansó you will find walls of all kinds. From some simple and suitable for all audiences to others a little more complicated that we will not let go unless you have previous experience.

The climbing activities that we will organize are designed for any group. The minimum number of participants will be 2 people and from 15 a special group will be considered with which we will make somewhat different options.

The duration will depend on how long you want to be testing the climb. Maybe with half a day, that is 4 hours , you will have enough. But if you are looking to spend more time and learn more, we recommend spending 8 hours and having a very complete activity.

The Via Ferratas are a great option in this sense since their itineraries are very safe and you don't need to be a great expert to have a great time traveling through them. In the Huesca area and in the surroundings of Ansó there are an infinity of these routes so you will have no problem choosing the one that best suits your needs and your level.

Although it is a simple sport, it must be taken into account that vertical and horizontal paths are crossed and that you should use carabiners, harnesses and helmets. It will also be ideal that you bring comfortable clothing to be able to move well on the Via Ferrata and even perform complex movements.

You can try a canyoning or a Via Ferrata between the mountains that surround Ansó. These routes are especially interesting for groups since they are somewhat complicated and you will have to help each other to get through certain areas that are quite difficult.

Another great idea, especially in the winter, is to come and participate in the snow activities that we develop in our ski resorts. Using snowshoes or cross-country skis , we will go for a walk on snowy trails that no one has trodden before.

This is one of the activities that will give you the best sensations, as it will allow you to get into nature with your friends, your family members or your co-workers. For this we can offer you different options:

Rafting levels

• Level I. This descent is perfect for you to come as a family, as the route will take a quiet stretch so that children from 5 years old can enjoy it . It lasts 2 hours and we can jump into the water, swim following the current of the river, enjoy wonderful landscapes and some very funny mountain guides.

• Level II. A tour for adults comes into play here, where you can get started in this activity. It can also be practiced by adolescents from the age of 14 . This tour lasts 2 hours and 45 minutes and we will carry out under the Mallos de Riglos.

• Level III. Ideal for the most adventurous! You will release adrenaline through the white waters where fun will be guaranteed. No previous experience will be needed.

• Rafting Tour. Perfect option if you are a rafting lover and want to live this experience to the fullest. During spring we propose a tour along 4 different rivers, away from the areas where more commercial rafting is usually done. You will find the deepest canyons, rivers with turquoise blue waters, big waves ... Perfect experience!

We have a base of operations where you will find barbecue, swimming pool , tables and chairs. We can also combine rafting with other water activities , such as kayaks, canyoning, etc.

And if you wish, we offer accommodation and food for groups , so you won't have to worry about anything other than enjoying yourself!
